Please Spend Christmas With Me Verse 1: We talk about presents, and parties, and lights, Santa, and Rudolph, and white winter nights. But do you remember the things we should share, The truth of the season, the reason we care? I heard a sweet story from time long ago When a child was born but not in the snow. He was born in a stable and laid in the hay. So what makes Christmas a special day? The life of that boy as he grew to a man Was the time he prepared to teach of the plan His Father had made that’s filled with great love To return to our home with Him above. Verse 2: As a man he walked and taught all he saw, And told them to always follow God’s law. He shared with all the gift of his love, So one day we all can return home above. And what was he giv’n for the things He had done? Oh what did we give God’s Begotten Son? He was hated, despised, and then he was tried. Not only that, he was then crucified! But he rose again upon the third day So unto all men He could come and say, “Come follow me, death binds you no more. I am your Savior now and evermore.” Verse 3: So what’s this to do with Christmas you ask? At Christmas is giv’n to us this one task: To remember his birth, when he first came here To be held and loved by his parents dear. We each come to earth in just the same way. So what do we lose on this one special day To remember our Savior and how he began His life on earth and followed God’s plan? So during this special time of the year, We all have the chance to open an ear, And hear a special, silent plea: “Oh won’t you please spend Christmas with me?”

Christ Our Savior is Born! Verse 1: Joseph and Mary came Traveling over desert plain. Came they to Bethlehem Where born was the Son of Man. Inside a stable room, Lying in manger hewn, Sleeps the Christ child in the night: God’s gift of love to all mankind. Verse 2: Shepherds keep watch by night. Angels appear in light Declaring by word and song: Rejoice now for Christ is born! Wise men come from afar, Guided by light of star. Precious gifts with Him they share Of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. Verse 3: See the star that shines so bright, Hear the music in the night, And in our hearts make room for Him Who came to cleanse our souls from sin. He came a meek and lowly lamb Though Son of God, the Great I Am. Let us all God’s Son adore, And give Him praise forevermore. Chorus: See the star shining bright. Hear the song in the night, For Christ our Savior is king. To us salvation He brings. See the star shining bright. Hear the song in the night, And come now let us adore. For Christ our Savior is born.

The First Gift Verse 1: You think you have nothing To give this Christmas. Your heart is filled with despair. You anxiously search Through crowded shops For the best gifts you can share. Verse 2: Your mind is focused On material things, You wonder, “What can I give?” But God long ago gave The most precious gift, His Begotten Son, who lives! Verse 3: Christ came to this earth And showed us the way. He suffered, endured, and died. And death He conquered For all mankind. His life was the price He paid. Verse 4: So you think you have nothing To give this Christmas, But you should reconsider. Perhaps you forget The pow’r of His love Is the gift you can give another. Chorus: So don’t forget this Christmas The first gift God has given. Accept this gift into your life And you’ll have much to share. Our Savior and Redeemer, His love divine is universal. Jesus the Christ, God’s first gift to mankind.

Christmas in Your Heart Verse 1: Oh turn your heart in praise and love, To Christ, God’s one Begotten Son, Born in Bethlehem as tiny babe, In stable near, in manger laid. His mother Mary, virgin fair, The Lord by angel did declare: Within thy womb thou shalt conceive. My Son shall then be born of thee. Verse 2: As prophesied in days of old A star appeared in splendor bold. Radiant beams of light that shined so bright, Announced Christ’s birth to all that night. When in the heav’ns they saw the star, Then followed those both near and far. Lo, what joy felt all who saw the child, While angels sang in praise above. Verse 3: Then humbly knelt all to adore, And honor Christ, God’s Son, our Lord, Raising voice in praise to God above In worship for His gift of love. So celebrate this time of year Rememb’ring Christ our Savior dear Who shall return on earth to reign As King among the sons of men. Chorus: Always keep Christmas in your heart. Always keep Christmas in your heart. Remember Christ our Savior Born in Bethlehem on Christmas Day. Always keep Christmas in your heart. Always keep Christmas in your heart. Remember Christ our Savior Sent by God in love for all mankind.

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year Verse 1: This time of year we celebrate With lights, with song, in worship great, To Him who came from God above To save our souls in love. Verse 2: May the spirit of Christmas, Of charity and kindness, Live in your heart forevermore, And bring you cheer once more. Verse 3: This time of year we celebrate The old year past, the new in wait. A chance for all to start anew, With promise all year through. Verse 4: May the Lord bless you this new year, With health and strength, with loved ones near, Prosperity that all may share, And peace from every care. Verse 5: May the joy of this season, The rhyme and the reason, Within our hearts forevermore, Renewing hope once more. Chorus: Merry Christmas, Happy New Year! May the season now bring you cheer. May the gift of God’s begotten Son, Give joy to everyone!

about

THE YEAR WAS 2013. We, Charles E. & Maria A. Davis, began writing songs together. Our first commercially released song was Come Celebrate Christmas. Since then, we’ve continued publishing many more songs, and to record at least one Christmas song each year. This album is a collection of the Christmas songs and recordings we’ve published to date.

We hope you enjoy this Christmas album. Each song, a new original, testifies that Jesus is the Christ, born in Bethlehem as our Savior and Redeemer, and encourages us to remember Him always. With all our hearts, we share this music with you and hope it will enliven your holiday season as well.

We express special thanks to Bradley and Jammie Hampton (SoundStage), Vicky Valle, Kara E. Trotter, Audrey M. Cramer, and Studio Pros in Los Angeles, California for their wonderful contributions to publishing these songs in years past and to this album today.
